Ellis and Badenhausen, PSC is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Scribe to support our physicians and mid-level providers by ensuring accurate, real-time documentation of patient encounters and optimizing clinical workflow. Position Title: On-site Medical Scribe

Reports to: Office Manager

This position features:

What You'll Do:

• Document patient visits in real-time in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

• Transcribe clinical interactions, procedures, and provider instructions

• Enter patient demographics, medical history, and billing details accurately

• Support providers by preparing charts, assisting with EMR templates, and maximizing workflow efficiency

• Assist with prescription communications, referral coordination, and general clinical support

• Prepare and clean exam rooms; assist with other front or back office tasks as needed

• Ensure all billable events are accurately captured during patient visits

• Travel with providers to satellite locations as needed

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Has strong typing and computer skills

• Understands medical terminology

• Is reliable, professional, and team-oriented

• Communicates clearly and effectively

• Can multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

• Is comfortable with occasional travel and flexible scheduling

• Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prior experience in medical office, billing, or surgery scheduling is a plus

• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience with EMRs (Electronic Medical Records)
