Position Title: Call Center Representative
Reports to: Office Manager
This position features:

Phone Room essential functions/duties
"Opens" the office each day, according to protocol
Schedules patient appointments: explains to patient which pieces of information they are to bring, provides patients several scheduling options, follows physician-approved scheduling guideline
Books, coordinates and reschedules patient appointments as needed based on physician appointment protocols to allow the clinics to serve patients most efficiently
Maintains and updates current information on physician schedules; notifies patient of any schedule changes
Obtains insurance information; may be required to obtain eligibility/verification by contacting insurance companies, and confirm referrals/approvals are on file when applicable.
Informs appropriate staff of patient late arrivals.
Takes accurate messages
Obtains and enters new patient demographics; updates patient information, as necessary, in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing
Documents pertinent information on the appointment note including, but not limited to, body part, health insurance, and other information related to the appointment.
Verifies demographic and insurance information for all patients, according to protocol;
Explains financial and collection policies to new patients as needed and refers them to the billing office when appropriate
Facilitates any physician requests throughout the day
Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
Learns all aspects of G-Suite
Informs patient of any existing balance noted in computer and requests patient be prepared for any payment due at time of visit
Attends al meetings as need
Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager or Team Leader/Supervisor
